Job Overview

Our Hubbell location in Centralia, MO is looking for a Master Scheduler! As a Master Scheduler you will help develop, maintain, and execute the master production schedule to support customer demand, inventory objectives, and operational capacity. This role serves as the central point of coordination between Customer Service, Quality, Purchasing, Planning, and Manufacturing to ensure feasible, balanced, and achievable production plans. You will play a critical role in aligning demand and supply, driving schedule stability, and supporting on-time delivery and inventory performance.

A Day In The Life

Master Scheduling & Production Planning



  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule (MPS) in alignment with customer demand, forecast, inventory targets, and capacity constraints.
  • Translate demand plans into executable production schedules while balancing service levels, efficiency, and inventory.
  • Review and adjust schedules to address changes in demand, material availability, capacity, or operational priorities.
  • Ensure schedule adherence and drive corrective actions when variances occur.


Cross-Functional Coordination



  • Partner closely with Manufacturing and Purchasing to ensure alignment between production plans and material availability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Planners to understand demand changes and prioritize production accordingly.
  • Communicate schedule changes, risks, and constraints clearly to stakeholders.


Capacity & Constraint Management



  • Evaluate capacity, labor, and equipment constraints and proactively identify risks to the production plan.
  • Support rough-cut and detailed capacity planning to ensure feasible schedules.
  • Recommend mitigation actions, including schedule adjustments, inventory strategies, or prioritization changes.


System Accuracy & Data Integrity



  • Maintain accurate scheduling data, parameters, and master data within SAP.
  • Ensure planning assumptions (lead times, lot sizes, routings) are aligned with current operations.
  • Monitor MRP outputs and coordinate actions to address exceptions and shortages.


Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement



  • Track and analyze key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, inventory levels, and plan stability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, communication, and system effectiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and supply chain performance.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of MRP/MPS concepts and planning processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other planning/analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
