Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:

Using
Expandable and panning tools, maintain proper inventory levels, and plan and
coordinate replenishment as needed. Coordinate receipt, inspection, stocking of
tooling. Pull and distribute tooling to the proper locations and kits.
Utilizing Tool Layouts and BOM's, pull kits for tool assemblies.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and
Competencies:
Maintain
Planning levels for Tooling to ensure high availability for Production.
Establish
Tooling requirements based on established reorder point levels driven by
Production requirements.
Generate
replenishment orders and work with Purchasing to place orders to Suppliers.
Schedule orders to effectively manage Tooling spend. Follow up with Purchasing
and Suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
Receives,
unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to
replenish inventory.
Proactively prepare,
stage, and verify complete, production-ready kits for Production based on
machine schedule. Confirm that kits align with Tool Layouts, BOM's, and machine
schedule.
Identify
tooling gaps / risks and escalate proactively.
Re-evaluates
returned kits to determine tools that are re-usable, need rework, or scrap.
Coordinate the rework and scrap.
Restock kits
with reworked, re-usable, and/or new tooling to ensure availability when
needed.
Track tooling
shortages, breakage, and abnormal usage. Capture feedback from Heading
production and Toolmakers regarding tool performance. Support corrective
actions with Engineering and Suppliers.
To ensure
accurate inventory balances, maintain records of tools issued and returned.
Store tooling
in designated areas and ensure that proper inventory levels are maintained.
Prepares
periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
Marks and
identifies tools as needed to maintain clear identification.
Responsible
for periodic Cycle Counts.
Update metrics
and prepare reports for Management as needed. Escalate issues timely to
Management.
Other duties
as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

OTHER COMPETENCIES:
Language
Skills:
Ability
to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to read and interpret drawings and
bills of materials.

Mathematical
Skills:
Ability
to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability
to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability
to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations. Able to interpret and understand results from manual and/or
automated testing equipment.

Education
and/or Experience:
High
school diploma or general education degree (GED). Knowledge of calipers, gages, and other
measuring instruments.

Physical Demands:
While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand;
use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is
occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms and kneel or crouch.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
