Overview

Apogee Engineering is actively seeking a Joint Exercise Planner to join our SMDC team.

Program: This position will provide A&AS to support the USASMDC G37 Training, Readiness and Exercise Division (G37 TREX) mission. This position will support the Exercise Branch, responsible for planning, synchronizing, executing, and assessing space operations support to USSPACECOM, USNORTHCOM, USSTRATCOM, Department of the Army and other CCMD major exercises, experiments, and war games.

This full-time role is onsite at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.



Responsibilities

Joint Exercises Support.

    The Joint Exercise Team will coordinate directly with GCCs, ASCCs, Corps, Division, 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, 263rd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, the 1st Space Brigade and the 100th Ground-Based Mission Defense (GMD) to provide Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Space exercise support.
  • Provide expertise in planning Joint Staff Tier I exercises, Army Theater exercise, the major training events for the SMDC staff, subordinate commands using the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process.
  • Execution of the exercises outlined above; includes controlling the planned storylines (white cell support) and injecting the developed MSELs to stimulate the training environment. The contractor shall use the JMSEL tool and JTT to inject the planned events.
  • Use the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) tool to collect Lessons Learned/After Action Review (AAR) comments from events that occurred during the exercise.


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS with SCI eligibility. Education: Bachelor's degree Years of Experience: 8 years of relevant experience in exercise planning.

  • Must possess strong analytical, technology, and organizational skills
  • Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail are required
  • Ability to work independently and meet communicated schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Experience: Exercise planning in the space and missile defense domains preferred.

Additional Information Location: On-site at Peterson SFB Travel: 25% to Germany, Hawaii, Korea, and CONUS locations



Pay Range

USD $83,500.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
