- Coordinate sample transfers, documentation, and communications among internal program members and external academic or commercial collaborators as needed.
- Support maintenance of laboratory equipment, including scheduling service and calibration when appropriate.
- Help maintain laboratory inventory, track consumable usage, prepare supply requests, and ensure critical materials remain in stock.
- Assist with laboratory organization, cleanliness, and safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemical, biological, and other hazardous materials.
- Participate in study startup, specimen workflow planning, and execution of research activities to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
- Contribute to preparation of summary data, protocol notes, and other documentation for internal reports, grant-related activities, and study records.
- Train on and comply with all required institutional research, biosafety, and human subjects procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities: Support biospecimen workflows for translational transplant and xenotransplant studies, including chain-of-custody, accessioning, aliquoting, and freezer organization. Assist with assay validation, control tracking, and reproducibility efforts for research and translational molecular workflows. Support preparation of samples for external core facilities and vendors, including packaging, documentation, and shipment coordination. Help maintain structured sample inventories and associated metadata to support downstream sequencing, molecular profiling, and integrative analyses. Work collaboratively with quantitative, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure sample integrity, protocol adherence, and timely completion of study milestones.
