Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem Student Intern.

In this role, the Student Intern participates in a full immersion experience in all aspects of Orthopaedic trauma services. Under direct supervision of the faculty of the Orthopaedic Trauma Division, the Student Intern observes all phases of clinical and research processes and gains an in-depth knowledge in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery and the rigors of academic medicine.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Shadow attending orthopedic surgeons during office hours to gain hands on exposure to clinical practice
  • Assist with divisional research projects
  • Support the preparation of journal manuscripts and poster presentations

Minimum Qualifications:
Current enrollment as a full-time student.

Preferred Qualifications:
Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary for the role is $17.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
