The Water/Wastewater Practice is seeking a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer in Bellevue, Olympia, Tacoma, Seattle, Tukwila, Woodinville, or Everett, WA.

The ideal candidate will support the planning and design of municipal (special purpose district and/or city) water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer ready to take on increasing responsibility in project delivery, technical problem-solving, and mentorship.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities: Engineering & Design
  • Perform planning and design for water and wastewater infrastructure systems
  • Support development of:
    • Conveyance and pumping systems
    • Storage and distribution systems
    • Collection systems and treatment facilities
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, and specifications
  • Assist with permitting and regulatory coordination
Project Support
  • Contribute to project delivery including scope, schedule, and budget adherence
  • Support task leadership on projects and coordinate with internal teams
  • Collaborate with drafters, EITs, and other technical staff
Growth & Development
  • Participate in mentorship and development of junior staff
  • Continue developing technical expertise and professional skills
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment
  • Participate in professional organizations and industry engagement
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field); EIT required, PE or ability to obtain preferred
  • 4-8 years of experience in civil engineering, with exposure to water and wastewater system design
  • Experience supporting municipal (city and/or special purpose district) water/wastewater projects
  • Working knowledge of water/wastewater design principles and engineering fundamentals
  • Familiarity with public agency standards, permitting, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with standard engineering tools (e.g., hydraulic modeling, drafting/design software, Bluebeam, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to support design tasks and collaborate effectively within project teams
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
