Overview Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is hiring for a Shift Operations Manager in Richland, WA. This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD). Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities The Shift Operations Manager (SOM) provides comprehensive leadership and oversight for the 222-S Laboratory Complex, ensuring safe, compliant, and effective operations on a 24/7 basis. The SOM directs and supervises the Operations Department's bargaining unit personnel, including Operations Chemical Technologists (CTs) and Stationary Operating Engineers (SOEs), setting clear expectations for safety, professionalism, and performance. The SOM coordinates maintenance and construction activities, proactively fosters a strong safety culture, and responds to incidents and emergencies in accordance with laboratory procedures and regulatory requirements. The SOM is responsible for administrative and operational support functions such as shift requirements and timecard management for Operations CTs and SOEs, serving as the central point-of-contact (POC) for operational communication and decision-making. The role requires maintaining proficiency and certifications in key positions, including SOM, Building Emergency Director (BED), Facility Operations Specialist (FOS), Field Work Supervisor (FWS), and Control Organization Authority (COA) to support the integrity and continuity of laboratory operations. Under general supervision:
Maintain the plant with Technical and Environmental safety requirements.

Compensation Grade 18: $109,013 - $137,538 The grade level offered to the selected candidate will be based on business needs and the candidate's education, training, and/or relevant experience.
