Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manufacture, assemble, repair, and sharpen dies, fixtures, gauges, and production equipment.
- Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, presses, and related tools.
- Read, interpret, and verify blueprints; perform accurate layouts and inspections to tight tolerances (.0005 inches).
- Select appropriate materials and prepare metal surfaces through cleaning and deburring.
- Troubleshoot production equipment and support continuous process improvement.
- Use precision measuring instruments and perform visual inspections throughout manufacturing processes.
- Follow safety procedures, maintain reliable attendance, work overtime as required, and contribute to a team-focused, quality-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Completion of a technical school machine tool apprenticeship or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10,000 hours of machining experience.
- Strong knowledge of machining operations, tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, and metal forming processes.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and the ability to work independently.
