Medical Assistant Farmington, CT Pay From: $20 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Assistants with 2+years of recent clinical experience in a medical practice setting Certified, Registered or Medical Assistant Diploma or CNA or EMT if less than 2 years of experience Rooming patients and obtaining vitals Administering injections Assist providers with exams and procedures including C-Arm procedures Comfortable wearing a lead vest Experience checking patients in Answering phones Checking patients in and out Scheduling Experience charting patient information in EMR Ability to process labs Experience assisting physicians with exams and procedures DUTIES: The Medical Assistant;s duties include but are not limited to the following: Room patients Answer phones Schedule appointments Check patients in Obtain vitals Administer injections Assist with exams and procedures Triage Assist with procedures utilzing the C-Arm machine under supervision Process labs Obtain vitals and histories Assist physicians with exams and procedures Chart patient information in EMR Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Take telephone messages Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.) *Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
