JOB TYPEClassification: Non Exempt Supervises Positions: JOB SUMMARYThe Radiology Technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images. QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Radiology program. Experience: 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: ARRT or registry eligible required. Registry eligible technologist must successfully complete the ARRT certification exam in Radiology within 12 months of hire. Applicable state licensure as required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures. PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical Demand Code: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment. The base compensation range for this role is $38.00 hourly. Please note that the pay rate does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
