Veterinarians throughout the Midwest refer animal clients to the Veterinary Health Center for specialized diagnoses and treatment. With sophisticated therapeutic equipment that includes an underwater treadmill, advanced imaging techniques, and groundbreaking equine lameness diagnostic equipment, we are a center for animal healthcare.

We are seeking candidates for a new position on our Client Services Team. The Customer Service Liaison will provide essential front-line support to clients and patients by combining responsibilities of a Client Account & Payment Representative (Cashier) and a Front Desk Receptionist. This is integral to facilitating emergency patient admissions and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout each client's visit. This position will support both desks in a floating capacity, providing coverage and service wherever needed at the time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greet all clients and patients in a friendly, professional, and supportive manner.
  • Manage front desk operations with a focus on emergency patient check-ins while also supporting routine admissions.
  • Enter, update, and verify client and patient information in the electronic medical record system. Prepare, explain, and obtain required signatures for all necessary documentation.
  • Notify appropriate staff of patient arrivals to support timely communication and workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and lobby environment.
  • Process payments including cash, check, and credit card transactions; perform accurate daily register reconciliation.
  • Provide information about partnered financing options, answer questions regarding credit approval, and process financing transactions.
  • Follow all payment policies and ensure clients receive clear communication regarding deposits, estimates, and discharge payments.
  • Support additional cashiering tasks such as mailing invoices, coordinating communication between clients and clinicians, and completing collection calls as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Shift

This is a full-time, 40-hour week position. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a to 4:00p.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or the equivalent.
  • Three years of customer service and or clerical experience is required. Education may be substituted in lieu of experience.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer is necessary.

  • Previous experience providing in-person, client-focused, customer service at in a clinic,
  • Previous experience within a medical or veterinary setting and familiarity with medical or veterinary terminology.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.00 / hour
Grade: PAT-004
