Chief Technology Officer

The Chief Technology Officer will guide Benesch's overall technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term growth within the AEC industry. This role is responsible for shaping how technology supports operations, enhances client delivery, and positions the firm for continued evolution in a competitive and changing market.

The CTO partners closely with executive leadership to identify opportunities for innovation, drive efficiency, and support scalable growth. This includes evaluating systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies while fostering a culture that leverages technology as a strategic advantage across the AEC landscape.


The Impact You Will Have

  • Provide executive leadership on technology strategy and long-term direction
  • Partner with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business priorities and growth objectives
  • Identify opportunities to drive innovation, efficiency, and enhanced client delivery across the AEC business
  • Guide the evaluation and evolution of systems, infrastructure, and digital capabilities
  • Support the organization through change, growth, and transformation initiatives
  • Maintain awareness of AEC industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic direction


What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or executive education preferred
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, including executive-level responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience shaping and executing enterprise technology strategy within complex organizations, preferably within the AEC industry
  • Experience leading large-scale initiatives such as digital transformation, infrastructure modernization, or system implementations
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology strategy to operational and financial outcomes
  • Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and influence at the highest levels of the organization
  • Experience within engineering, professional services, or similarly complex industries preferred
