Shipper/Loader

Day Shift -7:30AM-4:00PM (OT required)

Monday- Friday

$21.50

What you'll do:



  • Follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE
  • Follow yard and dock loading/unloading safety rules and procedures
  • Be able to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment
  • Inspect products and packaging for damage
  • Package, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation
  • Proficient with all sorts of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks and banders.
  • Cycle count product
  • Accurately receive and record inbound freight shipments
  • Correctly identify and put away purchased/manufactured fittings
  • Aware of overstock areas
  • Load out customer will calls and other docked van freight
  • Unload product from flatbeds and docked van freight
  • Able to correctly tie downloaded flat racks
  • Packing accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level
  • Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup
  • All other assigned duties


What you'll bring:



  • Preferred educational requirement is High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good understanding of basic math
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment in a calm and logical manner
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.
  • Gain an understanding of the business and team you work with and support.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $21.50 per hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
