The Fire Alarm Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety codes. Responsibilities:



  • Identify deficiencies and ensure systems meet NFPA and local code requirements
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and documentation
  • Troubleshoot and verify system functionality (alarms, panels, devices)
  • Communicate findings and recommended repairs to customers and internal teams
  • Assist with maintenance, service, or minor repairs when needed
  • Coordinate with clients to schedule inspections and follow-ups
  • Stay current on fire codes, safety standards, and technology updates
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area at all times.


Requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in quality control a plus.
  • Previous quality inspection, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects and inconsistencies.
  • Basic computer skills for logging inspection results and using quality tracking systems.
  • Ability to use basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to document and report findings.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new quality standards and procedures.
