Job Summary
The Facilities Technician III is responsible for maintaining building systems, equipment, and utilities to support a safe, efficient, and compliant workplace environment. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, DI-RO water, electrical, and plumbing systems. The position also supports clean room operations, vendor coordination, and facility improvement projects within a GMP-regulated environment. Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems and equipment
- Maintain HVAC, compressed air, DI-RO water, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Support clean room maintenance and ensure compliance with GMP and ISO standards
- Complete and document maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems
- Manage work orders, facility repairs, and improvement projects
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services
- Assist with equipment and furniture moves and installations
- Monitor facility systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
- Follow GMP change control processes and facility procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and records using Microsoft Office and maintenance software
- Participate in on-call support rotation as required
Job Requirements
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment required
- Familiarity with GMP change processes, ISO standards, and work order systems
- Experience maintaining clean room environments required
- Strong knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and water systems
- Experience using computerized maintenance systems and Microsoft Word
- Ability to manage vendors and support facility-related projects
- Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to urgent maintenance issues
- Availability to participate in on-call rotation required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training or certification in facilities maintenance or related field preferred
Work Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a GMP or regulated facility environment required
- Experience in hospital, semiconductor, clean room, or similar technical environments preferred
