Overview

The Loan Participation Specialist will assist with maintaining the portfolio of participation loans sold and purchased. The Loan Participation Specialists will perform maintenance on loans including general maintenance, posting payments, special payments and payoffs.

Responsibilities

    Perform work on participation loans as assigned, including but not limited to:
    • Post payments and advances
    • Load new loans and renewals
  • Serve as a back-up for the total participation portfolio
  • Serve as the secondary participation loan clerk
  • Maintain integrity of the participation loan for balancing and remittance
  • Perform alternate loading/editing of participation loans into the FIS system
  • Daily verification of Participation Loan Team Leader participation work from prior day
  • Assist with Participation loan document imaging to Vision Content
  • Exhibit knowledge of general loan department maintenance including, but not limited to:
    • Ordering coupons
    • Posting rejects
    • Auto-draft/ACH set-up
    • Due date changes
    • Posting special payments
    • Mail-in payments
    • Payoffs and payment extensions
    • ACH
    • Auto pay and Funds Management Sweeps
    • Name and address changes
    • Posting and advancement for floor plan loans
  • Perform researching and correcting errors on loan payments, advances, rate changes and other loan errors
  • Perform rate changes as needed
  • Assists the balancing clerk with research on items not cleared
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of loan maintenance or job related experience
  • In-depth knowledge of FIS/IBS loan system
  • Knowledge of credit terminology
  • Ability to use a ten key calculator with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as copier, fax and other basic office equipment
  • Excellent computer skills to include Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills to provide adequate customer service and support for branch personnel
  • Strong organizational skills
