Position Summary:

This role will lead the development and execution of strategic growth initiatives to support Hannaford's overall strategy and long-range financial plans. This position reviews competitive developments and monitors evolving industry trends that inform direction of innovation and longer-term strategic priorities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with functional leaders/teams to model strategic options, determine financial viability, and develop go-to-market plans
  • Develop appropriate tracking tools to monitor progress of Hannaford's strategic priorities and related initiatives
  • Collaborate across Ahold Delhaize brands to promote knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Be an expert on the consumer and competitive environment and monitor evolving trends to inform the direction of innovation and strategic priorities
  • Identify key areas of innovative opportunity
  • Act as the program manager to guide strategic projects on an as-needed basis

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree; Master of Business Administration (MBA) or demonstrable equivalent preferred
  • 8-10 years of business experience, especially in a customer-facing environment
  • Intimate knowledge of approaches to build strategies and various supporting strategic frameworks
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to build and articulate data-driven hypotheses
  • Financial understanding of a retail P&L
  • Visual storytelling using PowerPoint

  • Influencing without authority at all levels of an organization including senior leadership
  • Conceptual thinker and problem solver
  • Highly effective communicator - especially when it comes to executive story lining and communications
  • Track record of successful delivery of large-scale, cross-functional projects
  • Good verbal and written communicator, including facilitation of large meetings
  • Excels at establishing and fostering inter-disciplinary relationships
  • Experience managing relationships and projects with external professional services firms
  • Adaptive leadership with a future-forward mentality

The Salary Range for this Position is $108,880 - $163,320
