Location: Remote - Corporate Based in Minnesota

Your Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Strategy & Governance: Develop, implement, and continuously improve corporate environmental policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and alignment with enterprise sustainability and ESG objectives.

  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Provide corporate-level oversight of environmental compliance across all sites, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and international regulations, including requirements from the Environmental Protection Agency and evolving state-level PFAS and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws.

  • Environmental Reporting & Permitting: Oversee and ensure timely, accurate completion of all environmental reporting and permitting requirements, including air permits, hazardous waste, stormwater, greenhouse gas (GHG), and TRI reporting. Establish controls to prevent missed or late submissions and associated business risk.

  • Audit, Risk & Compliance Assurance: Lead environmental audits, compliance assessments, and risk evaluations across all locations. Identify gaps, drive corrective actions, and ensure consistent implementation of best practices to minimize regulatory and operational risk.

  • Legacy Site Management & Remediation: Provide strategic oversight of legacy environmental liabilities, including contaminated soil, groundwater, and historical operations (e.g., St. Louis Park and legacy Snyder General Corporation sites). Manage remediation programs, consent orders, and external consultants to ensure compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation.

  • ISO 14001 & Environmental Management Systems: Own and maintain the corporate environmental management system, including ISO 14001, ensuring continued certification, audit readiness, and alignment with customer and regulatory expectations.

  • ESG & Sustainability Integration: Partner with ESG leadership to advance corporate sustainability initiatives, including emissions reduction, waste minimization, circular economy practices, and external CSR reporting. Support development of the company's ESG framework and ensure environmental data integrity.

  • Metrics, Data & Reporting: Establish and manage environmental performance metrics and dashboards to track compliance, sustainability progress, and risk exposure. Provide regular reporting to executive leadership and support external disclosures.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with operations, engineering, legal, supply chain, and external stakeholders to integrate environmental requirements into business processes, capital projects, and product lifecycle considerations.

  • Contractor & Consultant Oversight: Select and manage external environmental consultants, laboratories, and service providers, ensuring quality, consistency, and cost-effective delivery of services.

  • Regulatory & Agency Interface: Serve as the corporate point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies, supporting inspections, negotiations, permitting strategies, and enforcement matters.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • 6-8 years of related experience, including 4 years of people leadership experience

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,800 to $171,7000 + Bonus Incentive eligibility up to 15% in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
