DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be supporting IT operations by helping staff manage service requests, data needs, and technical processes. Work involves ensuring accurate documentation, timely follow-up, and adherence to service management standards. As a Management Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Issue Identification: Review service concerns and refer items to the correct IT area for further action
  • Ticket Documentation: Record contacts and actions in ServiceNow to support tracking and reporting
  • Vendor Coordination: Track warranty related incidents and work with vendors to complete required service tasks
  • Data Backup: Perform data backups and restore user configurations according to established procedures
  • User Guidance: Provide instruction on data management and security practices such as shared drives and file access
  • Operational Support: Document incidents, prepare information for analysis, and assist with service management activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
