DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the upkeep and repair of the Philadelphia Southampton Road Readiness Center by handling a wide range of maintenance tasks. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Painting Work: Prepare surfaces, mix paint, and complete interior and exterior painting for walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other areas
- Plumbing Tasks: Install and repair sinks, faucets, piping, valves, drains, and fixtures, and monitor backflow prevention needs
- Carpentry Repairs: Carry out rough and finish carpentry including drywall, flooring, ceilings, doors, windows, and furniture repairs
- Electrical Services: Install or repair circuits, outlets, fixtures, and lighting systems while monitoring alarm and security systems
- HVAC Maintenance: Service and repair heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems and maintain kitchen equipment
- Grounds Upkeep: Perform cleaning, mowing, snow removal, and general property maintenance duties

- Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are (1st shift) 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work hours may change based on operational needs.
- Travel as needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
- You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
