Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center ( CASA) is home to academic advising for first year students majoring in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Our advisors support first year students in the College of Arts and Sciences in their transition to a college environment and teach students how to understand and navigate degree requirements, course options, and support services. CASA advisors encourage students to adopt a professional and proactive approach to lifelong learning and empower students to make the most of their education in a complex and changing world.
Position Summary
The Associate Director assists the Director with office management including program planning, assessment, budgeting, hiring, and faculty development. This is a full-time, 12-month position.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Higher Education, Advising, or a College of Arts and Sciences Department and three years of advising experience in a college or university setting.
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, experience in coordinating and assessing academic programming, and expertise navigating a range of curriculum and student success software tools.
