Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00-10:30 PM Location: Geneva, IL Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Pay: $24.50/hr + 10% shift differential (~$26.95/hr effective) If you have a science degree and want hands-on experience in food safety and quality systems - this is your entry point. Advantage Technical is hiring a Food Safety & Quality Specialist for a 6-month contract-to-hire role at a food manufacturing facility in Geneva, IL. What You'll Do Collect environmental and product swab samples (yeast, SPC) on the production floor Perform ATP and allergen testing; send samples to off-site labs and track results Analyze quality data and identify food safety trends Conduct environmental monitoring and on-site audits Maintain accurate documentation in support of regulatory compliance Support root cause investigations and cross-functional quality projects What You Need Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field Strong analytical and documentation skills Ability to work independently and own quality operations on the 2nd shift Training: Position begins on 1st shift for the first month before transitioning to 2nd shift.
