Meet the Team: Strategic Engagement Team (SET) supports account teams in solving customer outcomes with a combination of products and services. We are a team experienced in leading large, complex deals with a goal to enhance Cisco account team selling efforts with dedicated resources, deal expertise, proven processes and methodologies to accelerate and grow opportunities. Your Impact: As a Strategic Engagement Team Executive, you will be the driving force behind our high-value deal pursuits, providing leadership and strategic direction throughout the entire sales cycle. This role serves as the linchpin of deal quality, ensuring that all aspects of the service strategy, design, and operations align with Cisco's standards and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: o Serve as the single point of contact for deal quality, governance, and cadence, ensuring a seamless experience for the customer and efficient coordination with internal Cisco teams. o Build and maintain relationships with customer executives and partner with account teams to establish clear success metrics, solutions, and models for each pursuit. o Lead the Commercial Design Tower in crafting a competitive commercial and pricing strategy, working closely with the finance team to develop robust financial models. o Drive the negotiation process, managing both the business and contractual elements to secure favorable terms for Cisco and value for the customer. o Present comprehensive solutions to customers and internal Cisco stakeholders, articulating the strategic benefits and operational plans effectively. Minimum Qualifications: o 5-year plus sales experience in the technology or related industry. Preferred Qualifications: o Experience in a leadership role within sales, business development, or a similar field, o Strong commercial acumen with a track record of developing successful business cases and pricing strategies. o Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex contracts and close deals that are beneficial to both Cisco and the customer. o Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence executives and key stakeholders. o Collaborative mindset, adept at working across various functions and teams within an organization to drive results. For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $287,300.00 - $423,200.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $263,500.00 - $404,100.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements. | |
