About Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning, control, and automation products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GNSS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics. Field Systems: The Trimble Field Systems segment provides solutions to increase precision and productivity in construction tasks by empowering stakeholders to collect accurate information and manage conditions with cutting-edge technology. What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you will hold the ultimate authority on product readiness, serving as the technical focal point across integrated teams to ensure our sensing components meet elite performance standards. You will have the unique opportunity to shape the entire validation strategy from simulation to machine-level field testing, directly influencing the reliability of global off-highway infrastructure solutions. The Lead Electronic Verification & Validation Engineer is responsible for defining, planning, coordinating, and executing verification and validation activities for Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), angle sensors, and related electronic sensing components. The role ensures products meet performance, reliability, and quality requirements through structured, risk-based validation across the product lifecycle. This role serves as the primary V&V focal point within integrated product teams, providing technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, systems, firmware, manufacturing, and machine test domains. The position is accountable for ensuring validation coverage is complete, traceable, and sufficient to support product release decisions.
