Summary
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations and administrative management of staff and activities. This includes ensuring high-quality care for patients with respiratory conditions, managing staff, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Essential Functions
-Oversee the delivery of pediatric pulmonary services, ensuring optimal patient care and smooth daily operations.

-Supervise and support clinical staff, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and administrative personnel. Ensure staff training, professional development, and performance evaluations are completed.

-Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for patients with pulmonary conditions such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, and other respiratory disorders.

-Lead efforts to enhance pediatric pulmonary services, develop new initiatives, and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

-Ensure the department complies with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and safety protocols. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

-Manage department resources, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management of medical equipment and supplies.

-Provide education and support to patients and families about pulmonary conditions, treatment plans, and ongoing care.

-Monitor department performance, collect and analyze patient care data, and prepare reports for senior management on patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Education
Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy required and Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Respiratory Therapist [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Board of Respiratory Care required
Experience
Clinical experience in pediatric pulmonary care, respiratory therapy, or a related field 3-5 years required and Leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality improvement practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and data management software.
