As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Hilo, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Position Type: Full Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

21 + Years of Age
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Must also have the ability to pass a federal background check for DOT

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and pedestrian and vehicle traffic, reporting suspicious behavior, unattended property, and/or unusual conditions according to site protocols.
• Support Allied Universal and site operations by preparing routine reports, maintaining visible presence, and following post orders related to access control, crowd management, and/or customer assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• This position is primarily a driving post.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
