We are seeking a Graphic Designer for a 6-month hybrid engagement. You will work with the Men's & Women's apparel team on concepting against a graphic direction, executing schematics to assist product designers, and helping create components for presentations. This is an incredible opportunity to shape the visual narrative of a world-class enterprise, influencing everything from compelling product communications to immersive retail experiences. Your creativity and strategic design thinking will directly contribute to elevating the brand's presence and engaging millions of consumers worldwide.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in crafting original graphic designs that resonate with the organization's distinct brand ethos. You'll take ownership of diverse projects, from initial concept development through to final production, ensuring every visual asset meets the highest standards of quality and aligns with strategic objectives. This is more than just design; it's about managing projects, optimizing budgets, coordinating with vendors, and fostering strong internal and external relationships to bring impactful visual stories to life.

Responsibilities

* Create original graphic designs for a wide range of applications, including print materials, packaging, 3-D retail displays, event signage, logo systems, imagery, and video content.

* Utilize computerized systems proficiently throughout the design process to deliver high-quality visual assets.

* Manage individual design projects from conception to distribution, including attending briefings, setting timelines, scheduling work-back plans, and ensuring adherence to budgets.

* Oversee cost control for individual and group projects, estimating development aspects, recommending production alternatives, negotiating costs, reviewing billing, and providing budget reconciliation.

* Act as a primary liaison with domestic and international vendors, arranging purchasing, evaluating vendor performance, and understanding technical aspects of production.

* Facilitate communication between internal teams (such as those focused on imagery, marketing, and product development) and external agencies, conveying project details, design requirements, and scheduling needs.

* Provide essential design support to senior designers, contributing to larger initiatives and learning from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.

* Minimum of 2-4 years of directly relevant professional work experience in graphic design.

  • Alternatively, the following combinations of education and experience may be accepted:
  • PhD or Law degree + 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree + 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's degree + 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma + 3-5 years of relevant experience.

* Demonstrated ability to create original graphic designs that align with a brand's identity.

* Proficiency in computerized design systems and relevant software.

* Strong project management skills, including timeline management, budget oversight, and coordination.

* Experience with cost control, estimating project development, and negotiating with suppliers.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams and external vendors/agencies.

* Understanding of technical aspects, terminology, and equipment involved in various production processes (e.g., film, print, collateral).
