Job Purpose:

Ensures the timely availability of raw materials and components needed for production schedules, balancing inventory levels to minimize costs while preventing shortages. They coordinate with procurement, production, and suppliers, managing material requirements, purchase orders, and inventory systemsto ensure that the supply of materials meet the production / demand schedule. Maintains strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure supply of materials meets production requirements.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

* Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and demand due dates

* Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for timely material delivery from supplier to the manufacturing plant

* Assess component volume requirements against planning assumptions and supply conditions

* Day-to-day involvement with purchasing and the manufacturing plants for the management of deliveries

* Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedules due to supply chain constraints

* Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production. This involves communication to the plants and management of these shortages

* Utilize any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) spreadsheet tools that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date

* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production plant

* Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers

* Support assessment and sourcing of suppliers in conjunction with members of the purchasing team

* Assertive, optimistic, resilient, professional and welcomes change

* Self-motivated and able to work under pressure

Skills and Attributes:

* Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally

* Results orientated and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines

* Strong analytical, planning and problem solving skills

* Excellent attention to detail

* Excellent spreadsheet skills in both Excel and Google Sheet.

Education and Experience:

* Previous experience of materials planning desirable but not required

* Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies

* Experience in computer technology planning and sourcing desirable but not required

* Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills

* Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and in particular Oracle

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a professional environment with a record of assuming expanding responsibilities.

Salary Range(annual): $75,000 - $80,000

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
