Pay Range: Actual pay may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role * Job Summary The Senior Director of Engineering is responsible for the technical strategy, execution, and operational excellence of a critical platform in our Video Relay Service (VRS). This role leads engineering teams that build, scale, and operate a mission critical, real time communications platform that supports multiple products and services across the company. The Senior Director ensures the platform is highly reliable, secure, compliant, and extensible, enabling product teams to deliver customer value efficiently while meeting the demands of a regulated, always on service. This role requires strong technical judgment, deep experience with large scale distributed systems, and the ability to drive alignment across engineering, product, compliance, operations and exec stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibility This position manages employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees. Travel Requirements Travel Requirements: Less than 25% Education Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Computer science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Graduate Degree Experience 10 Years of Experience Software Engineering Experience 10 Years of Experience Software Engineering Management Experience Leading engineering teams in Scrum Agile Leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and quality code Modernizing legacy platforms and reducing tech stack complexity Leading codebase rationalization and application optimization Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
