Your Job

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum/Building Products is seeking a proactive Inside Sales Representative to drive profitable growth within assigned territories. In this role, you will build and grow customer relationships through consistent outbound engagement, influence purchasing decisions, and position Georgia-Pacific as the preferred supplier. You will take ownership of your territory while working cross-functionally with outside sales, scheduling, transportation, and manufacturing to deliver results and create value for both our customers and the business-all while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location

Anywhere in the US. This is a salaried position; hours vary by region (8am-5pm EST to 10am-7pm EST, Monday-Friday). Must be willing to work flexible hours in different time zones.

What You Will Do

  • Proactively build and grow customer relationships through consistent outbound calls, engagement, and value-driven conversations
  • Own the customer experience within your territory, ensuring a high level of service, responsiveness, follow-through, and accurate, timely processing of customer orders or requests
  • Track inventory levels to ensure adequate stock to meet demand
  • Identify opportunities to drive profitable growth, influence buying decisions, and position GP as the preferred supplier
  • Anticipate customer needs and provide solutions, alternatives, and recommendations that create mutual value
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, establishing trust and long-term partnerships to drive profitable incremental volume and market intel gain
  • Serve as the central coordinator between Sales, Scheduling, Plant Operations, and Commercial Leadership to drive plant performance through order file optimization, proactive communication, and effective execution across both daily operations and disruptions
  • Collaborate with field sales to establish territory goals and meet objectives
  • Proactively identify opportunities and provide value-based alternatives
  • Leverage market insights, data, and economic thinking to support pricing, sourcing, and business decisions
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution
  • Take ownership of challenges, drive resolution, and continuously look for ways to improve processes and outcomes
  • Operate with flexibility and urgency, effectively managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Two (2) or more years in customer service, supply chain, account management, or inside sales
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in a business environment
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10% based on business needs

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience in the building products industry
  • Manufacturing experience in customer service or sales
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

For this role, we anticipate paying $60,000- $80,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
