TITLE: Plant Manager

LOCATION: Onsite in Avon, Ohio

COMP RANGE: $135,000 - $170,000/year plus bonus

Custom Culinary is hiring a Plant Manager for the Avon, Ohio facility. As Plant Manager, you will have full operational ownership of the Avon, OH manufacturing site, leading a missioncritical operation through its next phase of performance, reliability, and cultural transformation. You will directly influence safety, cost, delivery, quality, and engagement outcomes while shaping the culture and future leadership pipeline of the site.

This is your opportunity to lead a key plant in the Custom Culinary network that has an exciting future ahead. You will create an environment that promotes individual and team commitment to the achievement of the operating plan & the Company's Purpose Driven Strategy, both strategically and tactically.

As a Plant Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing leadership teamof 6 direct reports and 3 dotted-line leaders, building bench strength and accountability across the site. The site currently runs 24/5 with approx. 60 employees and is 32,00 SF.

  • Driving the deployment of GPS/Lean enterprise practices, embedding continuous improvement into daily operations. Not as projects, but as a way of working; this includes leading the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), transitioning the site to become a highly-skilled, reliabilitydriven operation.

  • Championing a cultural transformation, creating an inclusive, engaged, and participative environment where people feel ownership, pride, and accountability.

  • Elevating safety from a program to a core value, making it integral to every decision, behavior, and process.

  • Owning the site's operating plan and budget, delivering performance commitments while balancing cost, capability, and long-term sustainability.

  • Ensuring customer commitments are met or exceeded, leveraging Operational Excellence principles to improve service, quality, and responsiveness.

  • Driving results across SQDCM metrics(Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale), creating clarity, alignment, and accountability at every level.

The Plant Manager position is well suited for you if you:

  • Enjoy being a visible leader on the production floor and connecting with the employees

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations managers, production supervisors, and support staff

  • Engage with employees to create a positive company culture that also endorses and supports the business strategy and core values

  • Act quickly when issues arise instead of waiting for escalation

  • Demonstrate leadership, facilitation, and hands-on problem-solving capabilities

  • Effectively manage change within a group and build strong interdependent teams.

  • Easily identify and develop leaders.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 10+ years' CPG, food, or food ingredient manufacturing experience with a history of growth through leadership roles in production, operations, quality, etc.

  • At least 2 years' plant level leadership experience.

  • Willingness to travel 10-15%, which is sporadic and occasional for leadership meeting, activation meeting, and visiting other facilities.

Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in
the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What will set you apart:

  • TPM experience highly preferred

  • Supply Chain, Lean and/or Six Sigma education or certification

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment

There is potential for a discretionary bonus, with a target of 18%. This bonus is based on personal and company performance and is not a guaranteed bonus plan.

This role is affiliated to the Avon, Ohio location, and candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance of that location and will be required to come into that location. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and kitchen environments.

Environmental Concerns: The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Dust and odor present in environment.
