Position Purpose
The Bank Branch Manager is responsible for leading the overall operations and customer service activities of the branch. This role ensures the consistent delivery of exceptional service, while overseeing compliance, sales, and relationship management efforts in alignment with the Bank's policies and objectives.
The Branch Manager plays a key role in staff development, performance coaching, and fostering a collaborative environment. This includes partnering with the Elite and Title Support Services teams to support the acquisition of new deposit relationships and ensuring the branch operates in full compliance with regulatory standards and internal audits.
Position Responsibilities
Branch Operations & Compliance
- Lead daily branch operations to meet strategic goals and performance targets.
- Oversee transaction approvals, exceptions, account openings, and problem resolution.
- Ensure full compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct required audits and security reviews; perform teller functions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related regulations.
Customer Service Excellence
- Promote a culture of outstanding customer service across all branch functions.
- Monitor staff performance to meet service standards and customer expectations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a timely and satisfactory resolution.
Sales & Relationship Management
- Maintain expert knowledge of Bank products and services; ensure team proficiency.
- Direct branch sales efforts and outreach activities to deepen customer relationships.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Commercial Lenders to provide sales and service support.
- Cultivate internal and external referral sources to drive new business.
Team Leadership & Staff Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop branch staff to meet performance and compliance goals.
- Provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations.
- Address performance issues and support professional growth and training initiatives.
- Ensure timely completion of required compliance and training programs.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred; or a combination of 2 years of college and equivalent professional experience.
- 2-3 years of branch management experience in a bank or credit union.
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and build strong customer relationships.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
- Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
Working Arrangements
- This role is expected to work in office Monday through Friday at assigned location.
