Job Title: Payroll Tax Accounting Specialist Reports To: Controller Job Summary: Support the company by performing multi-state payroll tax processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and accurately reporting payroll taxes to federal, state, and local authorities. Responsibilities and Duties: Process weekly Federal Tax Deposits Process weekly multi-state tax payments Ensure accurate calculation of payroll taxes Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and returns to the appropriate tax authorities in a timely manner Reconcile payroll tax deposits and resolve discrepancies related to payroll taxes Resolve any payroll tax issues and respond to tax-related inquiries from various agencies Prepare weekly payroll Journal Entries Assist accounting department Qualifications: High School Diploma Basic accounting classes or accounting knowledge Proven experience as a Payroll Tax Specialist or similar role Multi-state payroll tax filings Problem-solving skills to address payroll tax issues or discrepancies and to develop efficient solutions Accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills Ability to multi-task Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during quarter-end and year-end reporting periods Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Work with AB Staffing? * Direct deposit every Friday! * Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance available. * PTO and Sick Time. * 401(k) + company match.
