Our global Purchasing team sources over $80 billion in products and services annually. We deliver world class results by embracing our values of Belief, Respect, Innovation, Diversity, Growth, and Energy (BRIDGE) as they are the framework for our culture. We believe in a work-life balance and provide team members opportunities for mentoring, learning & development and exposure to senior leadership. Stellantis takes great pride in fostering an inclusive work environment where employees can leverage strengths, experiences and perspectives. At Stellantis, we believe it is the diversity of talent and perspective that allows us to take a visionary approach, to strategically apply new technologies and forge ahead in our industry in innovation and performance. Most opportunities will be global in nature and will involve collaboration with Stellantis colleagues in Europe, South America and Asia.

As a Senior Buyer for High Voltage Batteries within Stellantis' Batteries & BMS organization, the candidate will manage one of the most strategically critical commodities in the global transition toward electrification. Supporting North American electrified powertrain programs, this role requires a deep blend of technical understanding, commercial leadership, and strong alignment with executive level decision making.

High Voltage Batteries represent one of the largest cost drivers and most sensitive technologies in Stellantis' BEV and PHEV portfolios. As a result, the Sr. Buyer plays a central role in shaping sourcing strategy, technology roadmaps, supplier selection, and industrialization decisions-often in direct collaboration with senior leadership across Purchasing, Engineering, Finance, Business Development, Legal and the Gigafactory teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Leadership
  • Lead the complete sourcing lifecycle for battery cells, modules, and packs across North American vehicle programs
  • Build and execute long term commodity strategies aligned with Stellantis' electrification roadmap, localization goals, and regulatory compliance (IRA, USMCA)
  • Drive competitive sourcing through rigorous RFQ processes, cost modeling, benchmarking, and supplier financial assessments
  • Prepare and deliver executive level sourcing recommendations, influencing suite and global leadership decisions
  • Negotiate complex commercial terms that shape the multi-billion-dollar battery cost structure and associated long term supply commitments

Operational Execution

  • Manage day to day commercial performance of battery suppliers, including cost, capacity, quality, logistics, and contractual compliance
  • Issue and administer purchase orders, long term agreements, and non-standard contracts
  • Monitor and mitigate supply risks, ensuring continuity for all electrification programs
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives, including fixed cost recovery workstreams, benchmarking studies, and supplier value optimization activities

Cross Functional Integration:

  • Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Finance, Legal, and Project Cost Engineering to ensure sourcing decisions meet technical, timing, and financial objectives
  • Provide leadership across global cross functional teams to resolve commercial or technical barriers
  • Deliver clear, timely reporting on commodity performance, supplier status, and risk assessments

Gigafactory Collaboration:

  • High Voltage Battery sourcing at Stellantis requires extensive collaboration with our Joint Venture partners, including global cell manufacturers and large scale Gigafactory investments

Strategic Impact-Working with JV partners directly influences:

  • Factory capacity planning
  • North American localization strategy
  • Long term cost competitiveness and TCO
  • Technology differentiation and platform compatibility
  • Executive level investment and sourcing decisions
  • This role therefore requires a high degree of commercial maturity, confidentiality, and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear executive recommendations

Support Global SFG (Strategic Functional Group) Leadership:

  • Lead global alignment on battery commodity strategy with Purchasing counterparts in Europe, South America, and APAC
  • Support global sourcing table decisions and provide consolidated recommendations
  • Prepare monthly SFG updates with SFG Battery Lead for cross-functional leadership
  • Drive harmonized global processes and best practices across regions

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Act as a primary commercial interface between Stellantis Purchasing and JV organizations supporting Gigafactory operations
  • Align JV production capacity, cell chemistry strategy (LFP/NMC), and technology roadmaps with Stellantis vehicle program needs
  • Support JV governance processes by providing cost analyses, sourcing scenarios, risk assessments, and volume allocation strategies
  • Evaluate investment tradeoffs, capital recovery mechanisms, and long-term supply agreements in partnership with senior leadership
  • Ensure synchronization between JV industrial plans and Stellantis product launch timing, quality milestones, and supply chain readiness
