As an Entry Shop Rep you will work within a team to to recondition Tennant machines from start to completion. In this role, you'll utilize various hand and power tools, following work instructions to achieve our Tennant quality standards. If you enjoy being a part of a team and using your problem-solving skills, then this is the role for you.

Core Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for cleaning incoming machines and preparing the machines for shop work. This includes using hand tools and carefully cleaning the machines with a pressure washer
  • Perform minor mechanical disassembly and assembly of Tennant products with complex functions
  • Understand and follow established procedures and processes to safely produce quality parts
  • Recognize, communicate and document safety concerns
  • Perform housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized
  • Satisfy, in a timely and complete fashion, required service-related documentation: timesheets, repair orders, machine checklists, receiving records expense reports, inventory control forms and any other service related documents
  • Navigate Microsoft Windows and WorkForce proficiently
  • Assists in keeping shop area clean and performing minor and routine maintenance-related activities as directed and assigned by Shop Supervisor
  • Consistently present professional image, both in personal appearance and condition of company equipment
  • Punctuality is a must for this position and individual should have reliable means of transportation to and from work



Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of related mechanical experience
  • Related manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship



Required Physical Demands:



  • Routinely lifts up to 40 pounds individually
  • Works in multiple positions during a shift
  • Ability to stand for a 10 hour shift



Required Skills:



  • Entry level mechanical aptitude and interest in learning mechanical maintenance and repair
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to understand and fill out service-related documents and paperwork
  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools and service shop equipment



Environmental Exposures:



  • Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally exposed to hot conditions
  • Occasionally exposed to non-toxic fumes
  • Gasoline, diesel, and LP. Antifreeze, grease, lubricants, cleaning fluids/detergents, and solvents. Battery acid and related fumes. Noise to 87 decibels.



Safety Requirements:



  • Exposed to hazards/risks that require body protection (gloves, pants, steel toes, sleeves, safety glasses, etc.)


Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $44,500 - 66,700

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
