Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: MED-Medical Social Sciences Job Summary: The Department of Medical Social Sciences (MSS) is a leader in advancing and applying outcomes/effectiveness research to improve patient care and influence policy. Our strong academic ties across the university and the medical school encourage comprehensive collaboration in disease management, prevention and control. We intend to meet a growing need for expanded interdisciplinary scientific collaboration, to promote discovery of multidimensional mechanisms of health and disease, to improve adult and pediatric health status and outcome assessment, and to collaborate with partners in genetic, epidemiologic, biologic and behavioral translational research paradigms. The incumbent will report to the director of MSS IT, a group inside the Medical Social Sciences department that designs, develops, and maintains mHealth applications. MSS IT has years of experience in implementing cognitive and functional testing. Our products power many research projects and clinical interventions. We collaborate closely with scientists across the world, as part of the department's scientific projects. The Project Manager Senior oversees high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. Manages projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all affected areas of the project, including end-users, distributors, and vendors. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. May communicate with senior level management regarding the status of specific projects. The project manager will join a diverse and vibrant group, where people respect and support each other. The project manager is expected to help the communication inside the group and with stakeholders, and to ensure that research resources and optimally used. The project manager will be part of the group's transition from traditional tools for software development to the rapidly changing environment of the processes and tools.
