Company Profile: Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B) manages the 10-year, $2.1 billion Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management, Los Alamos Field Office. N3B brings operational discipline, proven approaches and predictable results to the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract. Position Location: This position is located in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Los Alamos is a tight-knit mountain community that consistently ranks as one of Livability.com's Best Small Towns in America. For two years in a row, Los Alamos County has ranked as the healthiest county in the nation according to a U.S. News report. The city is a top spot for outdoor enthusiasts as it has more than 120 hiking and biking trails, and residents enjoy easy access to the Pajarito Mountain Ski Area. Thanks to the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos' presence in the area, Los Alamos also has a college-town vibe that's a major draw for young professionals, families and retirees. Position Summary: The ER Production Support provides oversight and coordination of the ER Field Access and Accountability Operations Center. This position is responsible for ensuring accountability of all ER field personnel, communicating co-located work activities and for directing road traffic for N3B controlled areas. Provides site access briefings and ensures implementation of access control requirements. The Production Support provides for the issuance of keys, radios and confirmation of planned work activities on the ER POD. Maintains required logs and notebook required under Discipline Operations. Initiates procurements for Operations Center supplies and materials. Establishes and maintains a professional attitude in interactions with all personnel and in radio communications. Develop and manage the ER Shift Order and POD. Attend the daily ER POD, revise the POD for authorized work changes, finalize and distribute. Provide the primary contact for ER fieldwork and assist and/or direct callers in acquiring requested help. Initiate the notification chain for incidents as reported to the ER Operations Center. Education and Experience Required: Level 4: Production Support Specialist 4: High school diploma/GED and 7 years of related experience. Level 5: Production Support Specialist 5: High school diploma/GED and 9 years of related experience. Business Associations: Level 4 &5: Contacts are frequent with individuals representing outside organizations, and/or individuals of significant importance within the company. Contacts involve planning and preparation of communications, require skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communications. Impact: Level 4 & 5: Errors are very difficult to detect and would normally require significant expenditures to resolve. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Normally assigned to perform work in an office environment. Only electrical hazards and other minor potential hazards normally found in an office environment are anticipated. Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the discipline. Office work environment.
