Could you be the full-time onsite Test Team Leader in Hornell, NY, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll lead a team to ensure the efficient execution of testing activities at the train level, driving quality, consistency, and continuous improvement in your domain. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, sourcing, and project management), manage resources and workloads for testing activities, and contribute to the development of reusable "test patterns" to enhance future projects-and much more.

We'll look to you for:



  • Applying the standard processes and related methodologies and tools to ensure domain efficiency within project development,
  • Defining, developing, and sharing re-usable "test patterns" to enhance operational consistency,
  • Promoting continuous improvement initiatives within your team,
  • Managing the traceability and configuration of tools used by your team,
  • Assigning resources (staff, etc.) for executing project testing activities effectively,
  • Managing workload, including the sub-contracted portion (technical assistance or work-package),
  • Contributing to the sub-contracting strategy in collaboration with Sourcing,
  • Evaluating performance and setting objectives for your team,
  • Defining and implementing a training plan aligned with your team's needs and Alstom's strategic goals,
  • Proposing necessary investments to the Site CV Manager to ensure successful project deliveries.

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Systems, or similar),
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hands-on activities in Railways domain, including sub-system requirement gathering, specification, and architecture,
  • Knowledge of software development and hardware-software integration,
  • Familiarity with electrical development, schematics, and apparatus, as well as notions of manufacturing,
  • Fluent communication in English,
  • Train system knowledge, including system analysis and railways operations,
  • Experience in team and project management,
  • Ability to define, implement, and promote continuous improvement initiatives,
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on resilience and adaptability.

Base Salary Range:

In accordance with New York State law, the anticipated salary range for this position is$100,000 - $130,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, and qualifications. This range reflects the base salary only and does not include bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation.
