Director, Operations Quality

SAFETY
Responsible for providing a safe environment for all employees.
Responsible for Accident and Incident investigations.
Responsible for acceptance/review of customer orders for safety and quality.
Administration of the company safety program and the maintaining good employee relations.

DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the performance of plant employees and activities.
Provides support for plant operations to improve Quality of local production planning, scheduling, purchasing and inventory control.Ensure Quality operations to maintain production flow (raw materials, finished stock, etc.) to meet customer requirements.
Participates in company sales and service activities as required.
Responsible for ensuring Quality of acceptance/review of customer work orders for feasibility and on-time delivery.
Directs and participates in development projects in order to improve operations, quality, and efficiency of operations.
Assists in developing and submitting the Capital Budget.
Maintains and promotes 5S throughout the facility, equipment and grounds.
Makes recommendations to Vice President as needed for production and operational improvements.
Helps to manages COGS and utilize appropriate metrics to ensure operations are operating efficiently.
Must have working knowledge of all local, state and federal legal and licensing requirements pertaining to the storage, handling, shipping and use of hazardous materials.
Supports the Quality management of the distribution and valve inspections for all shipments department to ensure compliance to customer expectations.

QUALITY
Responsible for maintaining and improving production efficiency and quality systems.
Maintains and monitors quality metrics to ensure continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Creates and manages KPI's to drive operations improvements.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors' degree in Engineering or Business and a minimum of 10 years
Industry experience. Additional
experience may replace the need for a degree. IS0-9001 training preferred.
