Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Accelerate with AI: Actively leverage AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance code quality and automate routine tasks.

  • Spearhead the full life cycle of software development activities, including new product releases, functional enhancements, and performance improvements.

  • Execute sophisticated exploratory tests using a blend of manual and automated techniques to ensure flawless feature delivery.

  • Proactively identify and track software defects while staying informed about the latest best practices in Software Engineering.

  • Collaborate with a distributed core team to provide transparent communication on project status, risks, and innovative solutions.

  • Own the quality of mobile and web applications by participating in technical reviews and driving continuous integration efforts.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Citizenship and Location Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen physically located and authorized to work within the United States. This role supports U.S. Government and DoD environments and may require work to be performed on U.S. soil in accordance with FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5 requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field - working experience as a Software QA Engineer will be considered in place of a degree

  • 3+ years of experience working in enterprise software development environments

  • Intermediate knowledge using software test design techniques like equivalence class, boundary value, decision table and use case testing.

  • Possess intellectual humility - be able to make mistakes and learn from them

  • Experience working with agile testing practices like BDD, test automation, exploratory testing and continuous integration.

  • Experience testing B2B SaaS web-based apps

  • Experience testing mobile apps (iOS & Android)

  • Experience working with HTM, CSS and/or DOM

  • Should have experience with testing Native and Hybrid applications

  • Good at backward compatibility testing between different mobile OS versions

  • Should have hands on experience in creating automation scripts for mobile using Appium/Maui

  • Experience with Selenium Web-driver API, C#, or .NET

  • Basic White Box testing knowledge (multiple condition coverage, basis path, loop).

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages like C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.

  • Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively with management, other engineers, and internal and external customers.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents, diagrams, data models, and process documents.

  • Customer focused with excellent follow through on commitments.

  • Experience using a variety of AI tools (Gemini, N8N, CoPilot, or similar)

  • Experience with AI generation of Test cases or Test Automation

Bonus Points For

  • Experience using automated tools (Cucumber, XUnit Code UI) to create new automated tests

  • Practical knowledge working with construction technology or experience solving complex operational challenges within the Engineering and Construction sectors.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
