General Summary

This role is responsible for developing comprehensive, end-to-end solutions that include facility layout, innovative automation technologies, material-handling equipment (MHE), IT systems, operational processes, and workflow design.

This role supports small to medium-sized customer opportunities of low to moderate complexity. The incumbent applies knowledge of engineering principles, operational flows, and system capabilities to develop standardized, scalable standard solutions that meet customer business requirements. The position ensures each solution is designed to deliver the lowest total cost while achieving customer needs, operational efficiency, and productivity standards.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Develops standard engineered solutions for small to medium complexity customer opportunities.
  • For non-standard customer proposal requests, engages and coordinates the team to collaboratively develop the end-to-end solution design by aligning IT, Engineering and Operations capabilities to meet customer needs.
  • Contribute to new business and enhancement opportunities by preparing response documents and providing inputs that support pricing and standard solution designs.
  • Assist in developing Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring customer requirements, service levels, and integration points are accurately interpreted, clearly defined, and effectively communicated.
  • Support customer meetings by preparing and delivering solution-focused presentations for both pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
  • Works to establish, maintain, and update solutions tools and processes for improving efficiency and quality of the solution to the customer.
  • Partner closely with IT, operations and pricing teams to ensure timely delivery of customer proposal inputs and alignment to standard solution design
  • Other duties as assigned



Required Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding engineering concepts, operational processes, warehouse and logistics workflows.
  • Understanding of Warehouse Management, warehouse operations and processes



Preferred Qualifications & Experience:



  • Experience with facility layout tools, data analysis and process modeling
  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems, specifically in Manhattan Warehouse Management Operating System (WMOS).
  • Experience in facilitating project teams for developing end to end solutions including operational engineering, systems, implementation, customizations, and enhancements in with Enterprise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for 3PL customers.
  • Understanding of Manhattan WMS process flows
  • Knowledge on typical integration types between an ERP and WMS systems
  • Knowledge of Agile and Lean values/concepts
