Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for an Energy & Power Data Center & Special Projects Product Support Sales Representative. Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our growing team of established and successful professionals. Position Summary: In alignment with management directives, this position is responsible for selling Cat and nonCat parts, dealer services, and product support solutions to customers within the Data Center segment. Customer accounts, targets, and special projects will be assigned directly by Management. This position requires a willingness and ability to travel as necessary to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply effective time and account management practices while executing a managementassigned coverage plan.
- Perform basic inspections on generators, engines, pumps, air compressors, switchgear, automatic transfer switches, UPS systems, or machines to generate customer engagement and sales opportunities.
- Prospect for incremental parts and service revenue opportunities within assigned accounts and special project initiatives.
- Follow up thoroughly on sales leads and project inquiries.
- Build strong, collaborative customer relationships while maintaining the highest level of business integrity.
- Sell parts, service, rebuild/recondition solutions, PM products, environmental products, Customer Value Agreements (CVAs), and Extended Service Contracts (ESCs).
- Use a "counselor sales" approach to identify, shape, and manage customer expectations.
- Advise customers on solutions that maximize uptime and reduce owning/operating costs, especially within missioncritical environments.
- Maintain accurate customer equipment information within the branch CVA reporting database.
- Identify and report on incremental support opportunities and future sales potential across both Product Support and other dealership divisions.
- Monitor and report competitor activity related to parts, service, and equipment performance.
- Provide input into planning, forecasting, and budgeting as needed.
- Understand parts, service, and machine performance literature and utilize the Service Information System (SIS).
- Prepare accurate quotes, sales contracts, and related documentation required to close deals.
- Work closely with Inside Sales, Service Management, Project Managers, and other internal teams.
- Fully utilize the company's CRM system for call reporting, opportunity tracking, and account planning.
- Travel as needed to customer facilities, data centers, project sites, and industry events to strengthen relationships and support customer needs.
Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Education & Experience
- College or technical degree preferred.
- Minimum requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
- Four to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, electrical schematics, and procedure manuals.
- Strong analytical skills, including calculating discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and volumes.
- Proficiency with word processing software, spreadsheets, internet applications, and companyspecific systems.
- Strong communication, relationshipbuilding, and customer service skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required by management.
