POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Tech is very much considered a "Front of House" role with regular service interaction required between the Tech and our guests, homeowners, internal partners, employee residents, and other stakeholders. The Building Maintenance Tech is responsible for the year-round maintenance and repair of company facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests and staff. This role involves a variety of tasks across multiple trades, supporting the smooth operation of resort properties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues, reporting larger problems to supervisors.
  • Execute repairs such as patching drywall, painting, changing light fixtures, fixing leaks, and replacing broken hardware.
  • Assist with the installation and relocation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform grounds maintenance tasks as needed, including snow removal, landscaping, and trash removal.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or vocational training in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Proven ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to maintenance work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours as needed.

It will also be the responsibility of any employee of Winter Park Resort to be a positive influence on the transformation of the resort and its associated lines of business.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resort's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

hourly pay range: $20 - 24

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions.
  • Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
