This position, which is part of the Talent Center of Excellence (COE), supports Talent and Learning & Development (L&D) including activities related to Talent Review, Training, Development, Performance Management, and other initiatives. Additionally, when Talent Acquisition volume warrants, this position supports the TA team by providing a positive candidate experience and a smooth recruitment process. Has some basic Talent Acquisition responsibilities that are on-going.



Responsibilities

Talent and Learning & Development Responsibilities

    Serve as a valuable partner to the Talent and L&D Team, supporting and contributing to initiatives that drive the business forward through learning development and talent management.
  • Coordinate training schedules, calendars and participant communications
  • Support the successful creation, launch, logistics, execution and assessment of training and other department programs that contribute to a positive employee experience as well as a career development culture.
  • Support year-round Talent Review process, which may include maintaining tools, data, reports, communication plans and more.
  • Act as an administrator for LinkedIn Learning and aid in creating knowledge paths for various user groups.
  • Act as an administrator for the GATX Learning Management System (LMS), SumTotal. (managing registration and attendance tracking)
  • Maintain accurate training records
  • Serve as point person for tracking Organization Development/L&D budget, including but not limited to processing invoices, vendor set-ups and actual spend v. budget.
  • Execute assessments, ensuring smooth processes and communicative interaction with stakeholders.
  • Provide logistic support for 360 surveys and coaching engagements.
  • Manage vendor contracts, coordinating those for Talent and/or Legal review, setting up new vendors, maintaining positive contacts and processing invoices timely. Vendors may provide services in such areas as travel, food/catering, training, coaching, assessments and more.
  • Serve as point person for Business Series, interacting and guiding participating departments and managing all details to ensure a successful session and overall program.
  • Provide support to Talent and L&D including but not limited to:
    • Send accurate and engaging communication pieces and invitations to program attendees and speakers.
    • Serve as point person for program logistics, training room reservations, room set-up, catering orders, securing IT support, administering feedback surveys and proactively handling training administration and other duties.
    • Serve as "Producer" on virtual L&D and Business Series sessions and other events
    • Be in-office as needed, including but not limited to days there are training or other on-site events
    • Assist in preparing, updating and formatting various training materials and resources.
    • Provide reporting, communication and coordination of Performance Management.

Talent Acquisition

  • Support attracting and hiring top talent at GATX by performing some or all the following:
    • Distribute open job announcements via Career TRAX email.
    • Assist Recruiter and/or Senior Manager with aspects of the recruitment process.
    • Coordinate the Employee Referral Program
    • Schedule interviews and monitor logistics on interview days, ensuring a smooth process; be in-office for coordinating interviews as needed.
    • Distribute accurate interview guides/scorecards to interviewers.
    • Serve as main point person and coordinator for organizational announcements, ensuring announcements are accurate, complete, timely and distributed appropriately. This may involve drafting announcements, editing others submitted, and compiling announcements into a templated form with a consistent presentation.
  • Stay up to date on recruitment efforts and priorities by working closely with Senior Manager, Talent, Recruiter and Hiring Managers.
  • Provide suggestions on process improvements; assist or lead in implementing as appropriate.
  • Interact in a professional and positive way with candidates, ensuring timely updates and communication takes place.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and hiring information on iSite.
  • Support Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS) administration.
  • Coordinate candidate travel.
  • Track recruitment expenses as requested, set up new vendors, process invoices, and assist with maintaining the Talent Acquisition budget.
  • Administer and share results for new hire and hiring manager surveys.
  • Coordinate Top Workplace Surveys.
  • Take on other projects, as needed by the team to support the TA function.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strongly prefer at least two years of experience working successfully as an HR, L&D or Talent Acquisition Coordinator or an internal candidate with relatable experience
  • Experience or ability to serve as point person on many detailed aspects of the processes, programs and efforts of Talent and L&D.
  • Experience demonstrating strong communication, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working at a fast pace, producing accurate work, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Very strong technical skills, including advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative or Cloud; experience working with an LMS is a plus
  • Experience working with iCIMS, is preferred
  • Experience working with an HRIS strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of EEO/Affirmative Action requirements preferred; prior experience with a federal contractor preferred.

USD $70,300.00/Yr.


Max

USD $86,000.00/Yr.
This role may be eligible to participate in the Company's short-term incentive plan, the details of which will be provided to the applicant upon hire.
This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs.
