Job Description

Benefits:

Salary:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $31.50-33.00 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary:

The driver primary responsibility is to ensure product gets to it destination. The driver is responsible for inspecting the vehicle daily, planning route of travel to each destination, and ensure proper paperwork is completed for their loads. They must be aware of all safety hazards, policies, guidelines, and procedures associated with operating the vehicle.

Essential Functions:

  • Delivering material in a timely manner to customers.
  • Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance daily.
  • Planning routes and meet delivery schedules.
  • Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  • Completing paperwork, documentation, and data input in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collecting and verifying delivery instructions.
  • Reporting defects, accidents or violations.
  • Performing other related duties as required or directed by supervisor.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED, with CDL License.

Experience:

  • Three years' experience working as a CDL driver with no legal or safety incidents on record.
  • Have a Class "A" CDL license. Minimum of 3 years verifiable interstate driving experience
  • Excellent safety driving record - no violations in the last 3 years.
  • No at fault accidents in the last 3 years
  • Pass a pre-employment physical or possess a valid medical certificate (Long Form).
  • Use GPS to stay informed of route information.
  • Communicate with supervisors and colleagues using CB radio and cab computer.
