Overview

Our Center for Process Excellence team is on a mission to improve business outcomes and employee experiences by driving step-change improvements in critical enterprise processes, and the technology and analytics supporting these.

As a Principal Scrum Master / Agile Coach, you will be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional Enterprise Innovation Excellence team tasked with driving change. You will be working closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters across multiple teams to elevate their performance through adoption of Agile values and practices, across a variety of projects. This will require you to draw on both your domain knowledge of Scrum, well as your ability to influence individuals and teams to evolve ways of working that will lead to significant gains in team performance. If you have a deep understanding of 'why' and can independently adapt the 'how' to multiple different scenarios, this is the ideal role for you.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to encourage Agile behaviors and reinforce practices that elevate team maturity and performance
  • Facilitate critical cross-team ceremonies, such as quarterly planning and scrum-of-scrums
  • Identify and remove/escalate impediments, and identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement across teams
  • Establish and maintain team metrics to support continuous improvement activities
  • Coach individual Product Owners and Scrum Masters as required
  • Guide the transition from traditional "Waterfall" Instrument development processes to Hybrid Agile models.
  • Support teams with adoption and effective use of Jira
  • Maintain the overall roadmaps in Jira, and work with teams inside and outside the group on aligning priorities and resolving dependencies
  • Act as the Scrum Master for Enterprise Innovation Excellence team, lead all standard Scrum events, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master and 2+ years as a Principal Scrum Master or Agile Coach; experience working with teams in the early stages of adoption a plus
  • Experience deploying Scrum and Scrum@Scale required - experience with teams outside of traditional software development preferred
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring confidence in conflict resolution, and enabling you to adapt your style to different stakeholders
  • Social and naturally collaborative, with the ability to lead and exercise influence by organizing and motivating teams without the use of authority
  • Observant and transparent, allowing teams to identify problems early, and escalate in time
  • Curious and interested in continuous learning and adoption of new tools and processes
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities with little instruction or oversight
  • Proven track record of solving problems, breaking down barriers and delivering results
