POSITION PURPOSE

The Facilities Engineer Manager will give oversight to the day-to-day operations of the physical facilities of the RJKCCC and provide support to the physical facilities of Railton Place. This includes all building and utility infrastructure as well as direct supervision of all maintenance staff of the RJKCCC. Position will also help support the scope and quality of maintenance work on Railton Place in accordance with the current property management company (John Stewart Company).

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Five years of experience in physical facilities maintenance management, including the
  • Monitoring of report contracts and warranties with Business Administrator
  • Have successful experience in supervising o professional maintenance staff.
  • Having working knowledge of heating and cooling systems, server, plumbing, electrical, co-generation systems, water, landscape, irrigation systems, condensers, and de- humidifiers.
  • Have the ability of administer facility checklist including the monitoring of expenses related to property upkeep and repairs.
  • Must have or obtain current First Aid/ CPR/ AED certification. Must have or obtain current Food Handler's certification.
  • Must have or obtain current Forklift driver certification.
  • Written and Verbal command of the English language.
  • Must have ability to work and relate well with people.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving.
  • Have or obtain within ten (10) days of employment of valid California Driver's license as this position requires driving. Within one month of hire, must take and pass Fleet Safety Test of The Salvation Army.
  • Have a working knowledge of utilizing and directing vendors/sub-contractors. Can request and analyze bids for projects and property repairs.
  • Strong leadership ability to direct and organize staff.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Give oversight for the day-to-day operations of the physical facilities of the RJKCCC.
  • Daily monitor all building components including outdoor climbing wall, gymnasium, computer lab, game room, fitness center, chapel, education rooms, family enhancement center, co-generation plant, parking lot and landscaped area.
  • Responsible for maintenance supply orders for RJKCC and Railton Place.
  • Will be a part of the "First Response Team" when any building emergencies take place (i.e., fires, chemical spills, hazardous materials, water issues, etc.)
  • Identify any needed repairs or Special projects to plumbing, electrical, windows, structures, and form. Must keep Business Administrator and Corps Officers informed of any needed repairs.
  • In cooperation with the Business Administrator and Corps Officers, develop, supervise, and execute year-round preventative maintenance plan.
  • Maintain a consistently high level of efficiency in the operation of the facilities of the RJKCCC. This includes monitorial work and the physical set-up and take-down of facilities.
  • Meet regularly with the Business Administrator, Kroc Center Director, and Railton Place Director in setting priorities and recommendations for repairs, remodeling and replacement of facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain updated files on warranties on buildings and equipment related to the operational aspect of the RJKCCC and Railton Place, keep current copies with the Business Administrator.
  • Provide instruction to all maintenance staff in the proper use of all equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Purchase equipment and supplies to support Kroc Center and Railton Place operations as authorized by the Business Administrator, Kroc Center Director, and 9oilton Place Program manager in compliance with budgetary considerations.
  • Give direct supervision to oil maintenance staff, deliver daily job assignments to maintenance staff; supervise and establish daily operational routines Chat include janitorial services, trash pickup, grounds beautification, upkeep, and ongoing repairs.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly work assignments, logs, and checklists. Hold weekly staff meetings with the maintenance department. Submit notes to the Business Administrator weekly - these should include all major repairs and duties to be done by the maintenance staff.
  • Responsible for management & Maintenance of TSA fleet vehicles used by authorized RJKCC and Railton Place Program employees (keep track of vehicle paperwork and updates)
  • Responsible for facilitating property audits and other facilities related reporting for RJKCC and Railton Place.
  • Responsible for the proper set-up of all rooms and meetings including, but not limited to any conferences, Special events, Corps programs, rentals, etc.
  • Perform other assignment/duties as directed.



EQUIPMENT USED

Forklift, Pallet Jack, Trash Compactor, Commercial Kitchen Appliances, and other commercial maintenance equipment as directed and needed.

PHYSICAL AEQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
