OVERVIEW:

The Program Aide is a flexible, serviceoriented team member who supports all aspects of summer camp operations. They assist with program activities, camper care, media and A/V needs, canteen duties, and general logistics to keep camp running smoothly. This role requires adaptability, initiative, and a strong commitment to service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Support daily camp programming
  • Supervise and engage with campers
  • Assist with opening and closing logistics
  • Prepare and distribute camper materials
  • Provide A/V support for chapel, campfire, and program needs in coordination with the Media Lead
  • Assist in operating the canteen, snack bar, and staff cafe
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
  • Track, inventory, and restock snacks, supplies, and program materials
  • Support general logistics including supply organization and administrative prep
  • Maintain clean and organized work and living spaces
  • Build positive relationships with campers and staff, modeling Christlike service
  • Contribute to the spiritual formation of campers and staff
  • Report suspected child abuse to the Assistant Camp Director and follow required procedures
  • Other related duties as required


All staff may be called upon at any time to assist in the total operation of the camp. You are expected to join in all evening programs; absences are excused only through the Assistant Camp Director

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Minimum 18 years of age (required)
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification (required)
  • Camping experience either as a camper or staff (preferred)


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • General experience working with children
  • Ability to maintain organized inventories and clean workspaces
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Must be of good moral character
  • Must have a personal and growing relationship with the Lord


EQUIPMENT USED:



  • Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
  • Ability to grasp, push and pull objects and tools
