Manager, Industrial Controlling

Position Overview

The Manager, Industrial Controlling is responsible for managing daytoday financial controlling activities for industrial operations, with a strong focus on cost transparency, accurate reporting, and operational support. This role partners closely with plant leadership and functional teams to ensure financial discipline, reliable data, and execution of standard controlling processes.

The Manager operates with a handson, executionfocused mindset, supporting operational decisions while ensuring compliance with financial standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial Controlling & Financial Execution



  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned industrial or plant operations.
  • Oversee plantlevel cost controlling, including cost centers, overhead absorption, inventory valuation, scrap, and productivity KPIs.
  • Support monthly close activities, ensure reconciliations, and prepare accurate financial reporting packages.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS and internal controls within assigned scope.



Operational Support



  • Partner with plant managers and functional leaders to support cost management and operational performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances and operational drivers; escalate risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support capital expenditure tracking and postinvestment performance reviews.



Continuous Improvement



  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and standardization.
  • Support lean, cost optimization, or system improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain strong documentation and compliance with standard operating procedures.



Team & Collaboration



  • May mentor junior analysts or indirect reports.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally but operates primarily within defined processes and governance.



Qualifications

Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Industrial Finance.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.



Skills & Competencies



  • Strong cost accounting and variance analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and reporting tools.
  • Detailoriented, executionfocused, and reliable.
  • Effective communicator with plantlevel stakeholders.



What we offer

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 Annually. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. Beyond base salary, Diasorin offers a competitive rewards package focused on your overall well-being.
