Position Overview: The Treasury Analyst supports the organization's treasury operations by assisting in the management, planning, and optimization of company financial resources. This role contributes to cash forecasting, banking relationship management, and the administration of financial instruments, investments, and financing activities. The Treasury Analyst collaborates with internal stakeholders and external banking partners to monitor cash activity, manage leasing and financing arrangements, support financial reporting requirements, and ensure efficient and cost-effective treasury processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides financial input to assist management in the financial planning, procurement and investment of company funds.
- Participates in company treasury activities, including receipt, disbursement, banking, protection and custody and investments of funds, securities and financial instruments.
- Works to project short-term cash requirements, cash inflows, investments and loans for short- and long-range financial plans.
- Interfaces with banking institutions to monitor daily cash activity and coordinate the opening, closing and modification of accounts.
- Responsible for all operating lease activities through designated leasing organization(s). Requires working together with the leasing organization, a company buyer and the requisitioner to determine the most efficient, cost-effective method of procuring equipment under current leasing agreement(s). Includes FASB 13 analysis preparation and applicable journal entries.
- Works with other staff members to draft accurate debt footnotes for audited financial statements.
- Administers Company Executive and Procurement credit cards.
- Administers on-line banking activities.
- Reviews and monitors all treasury management products and leasing methods to ensure the Company is taking advantage of the latest and most cost-efficient options available.
- Interface with banking institutions to secure financing and manage loan covenants.
- Interface with external investment advisor and custodian to monitor and record monthly activity.
- Provide guidance on best method to finance capital expenditures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field plus 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Banking experience preferred.
